PERSONAL INJURY
3,300,000.00 HEAD-ON AUTO ACCIDENT: Obtained multi-million dollar settlement representing an individual that was severely injured in a head-on automobile collision. Client was self-employed and unable to return to work for a long period of time. The Defendant’s company employee was using a cell phone at the time of the accident. After thorough preparation of the case, a mock trial was utilized to prepare all aspects of the case for presentation to a Forsyth County jury. After two days of mediation the insurance company made an offer. The client agreed to accept to settle the claim.
$450,000.00 REAR-END AUTO ACCIDENT: Recovered significant amount from Underinsured Motorist Insurance carrier for injuries client sustained in a minor traffic accident.
$75,000.00 DOG BITE RECOVERY: Represented a woman bitten in the arm by a dog.
$1 ,000,000.00 DEFENSE VERDICT: Represented an uninsured boat owner in a civil action filed by a seriously injured plaintiff seeking damages in excess of $1million dollars. Although the jury came back and awarded an amount over $1 million dollars to the plaintiff against a co-defendant, it found client/boat owner not liable or responsible for any part of the damages.
WRONGFUL DEATH/ SLIP AND FALL: Obtained significant financial recovery for widower whose wife tripped and fell , sustaining injuries that were successfully argued to have ultimately resulted in her death.
DECLARATORY JUDGMENT ACTION: Victorious in a jury trial to determine the applicability of an insurance policy issued by Cotton States Insurance Company to a family member living out of state while at college. The Company was ultimately forced to provide coverage benefits relating to a claim asserted under such policy by client who was severely injured as a passenger in an automobile accident. Client received a substantial financial recovery.
CRIMINAL DEFENSE
MORTGAGE FRAUD AQUITTAL: After a two month long Federal Jury Trial, Client, accused by the Government of the United States of America of conspiring to commit mortgage fraud, was acquitted of all charges. Combining the focus of a consistent theme, trial experience of determining the relevant issues, and skillful use of technology and visual presentation in the courtroom over the course of two months resulted in a finding of “Not Guilty” for a client who was faced with the prospect of years in prison if convicted.
RICCO VIOLATIONS: After a Trial resulted in Jury unable to make a unanimous decision of guilty on charges against Defendant of RICCO Violations, the Government offered a favorable plea bargain that was accepted by the client.
DUI TRIALS: Mr. Rowsey owes a great deal of appreciation to his clients that have trusted him to represent them at trial on charges of DUI. In his early years of practice, while these clients often benefited with an acquittal, the experience gained by repeatedly being in front of a jury has proven to be an invaluable source of courtroom experience from which all clients of the firm have benefited.

TEMPORARAY RESTRAINING ORDER: Successfully represented client, a newly formed start-up company, defending against lawsuit filed by its former Company/Employer that attempted to defeat and eliminate future competition. The new company has gone on to survive and flourish, growing into an undeniably competitive multi-million dollar force in the market.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSE: Protected the professional reputation of a fellow member of the State Bar of Georgia from being tarnished as the result of allegations filed by his former client asserting violations of governing Ethics and Rules of Conduct. The Complaint was ultimately dismissed.
MORTGAGE FRAUD VICTIM: Doctor/Client Medical Practice restored to financial health after having fallen victim to a mortgage fraud scheme. Recovered losses in civil action filed against the insurance company in a dispute as to the validity and priority of the client’s claim of interest in the property based upon a promissory note.
